finally stopped coughing

Still no cold beer, no iced tea, no coke yet. My husband said if I drink something cold when he's not around and start coughing again he won't spank me...

but he'll prescribe a really bitter cough medicine to me (!)

He brought home six bottles of sparkling drinks :) but I can't drink it yet :( need to wait for one week till my cough is completely gone.

My husband said I'm not allowed to drink anything cold until my cough is gone, cos cold stuffs stimulate my trachea.

When I was helping myself with the second glass, suddenly my ear was pulled from behind (!)

"Did I make myself not clear to you?"

"Do you know you won't recover if you drink this?"

"Do you want to get spanked?"






Then my husband poured my second glass of sparkling orange juice into the sink (sob).

And he took my hand, turned it over and smacked my palm once (sob sob).


"Be a good girl. I'll buy you a few bottles of this when you stop coughing"

Flu

The last seven days I only went to work for two days. The rest of the week? I was physically on my bed, with a bottle of water, a box of tissue, my phone, all within an arm's reach.

It's funny I just learnt the expressions for going to the clinic in German the week before. My husband said next time I should learn about having a holiday or winning a lottery XD

I've ordered some children's books in German to increase my vocabulary and improve my reading.

But even this is not that easy to me. Need to look up two words from the dictionary.

My husband said I should try reading it aloud but it's so hard to link up the words and put stress on the right place when you barely understand the story and pronunciation.

So my husband read a few pages to me each day... lol

As if I were a little girl.

In return I asked if he wanted me to read to him "The Rule of Law" by Lord Bingham :P

mixing up with "spanking"

I've recently learnt a new German word, Schlange.

It means queue in British English, or line in American English.

Last night I was doing my German homework, I tried to use the word, but I wrote "schlagen", and my husband was laughing uncontrollably.

"Do you know what schlagen means?" he asked.

Seems to be the German word for hit or spank =_=

One week after my husband has agreed to stop spanking me for two weeks.

He said my behavior is "very good" :) if I get "very good" again after this week, then he'll extend the "no spanking" period for another two weeks.
