I went to the US for my undergraduate studies after finishing my GCSE. It's my first experience going to uni in the UK since this Oct.
I'm not sure if it's just this professor in my current uni or not, but I seem to feel that the classes are more like "lectures". Back in my uni in the US, even in lectures with 500 people, we could ask questions, make comments and debate with the professor. In the UK students tend to wait till the lecturer ask if we have any question.
Takes time to get used to this.
This time my husband knows nothing about what I'm studying. No support from him but no punishment either :)
