Just went back to my school with my friend to see how much our school has changed and meet our house parents. I just cannot believe we spent five years there.
Things have changed a lot, and our common room looks rather stylish now.
It used to be much older, with solid mahogany furniture. We both remember the chats after dinner with our house parents here. They were our very good mentors, and we could talk about anything. We told them about our friends at school, our schoollife, our ups and downs, and even our cheeky things.
It was all very good memories, except for once, when we crossed the line and got sent to the discipline office by one of our house parents and we were punished by a discipline teacher. I dont remember what we did but we had to report to the laundry service department and help the staff there for one week during our free time after school and were not allowed to leave our house that weekend.
It's fun to recall all these now, but it was a nightmare back then. Our house parents said if we were born earlier and went to school three decades earlier, we would have been given detention and spanking by the school principal.
What kind of spanking would that be? I'm curious.
